Developing your career as a project management professional requires a thorough understanding of numerous areas of business including budgeting, conflict management, negotiation and teamwork.
The APM Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) will be delivered in line with the APM guidance on ChPP by qualified ChPP assessors within Academy4PM. As a skills and experience based qualification that is assessed through a portfolio of Evidence submitted to APM and professional discussion.
This is a workshop in preparation for individuals wishing to undertake the qualification.
The workshops are designed around client needs and are spent looking at the APM ChPP criteria from a structural perspective to ensure individuals fully understand how they can give their best input to achieving a successful outcome.
Learners are expected to be professionally active and in a responsible leadership functions within projects, programmes or portfolios; exhibit professional and ethical behaviour; demonstrate competence in core project management competencies; and have completed a minimum of 35 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) within the last 12 months.
What's the outcome?
Gaining your ChPP will demonstrate your ability to make a positive contribution to any project you manage or are involved with. This will show that you have proven applied practice to give you a competitive advantage. You will be entered into the APM Register of Project Professionals demonstrating to users of project management services and the wider public that you have met one of the highest standards in Project Management.
Through more widespread adoption of the APM approach, projects will be delivered in a more consistent fashion across your organisation.
Recognition of ChPP using APM post-nominals enabled individuals to be recognised and improves organisational reputation.
What does it involve?
The approach to supporting learners will focus primarily on providing coaching and mentoring to create the documentation required for a formal submission to APM, undertake critical reflection and prepare individuals so that they can demonstrate their understanding to meet the requirements of the Standard.
